Headquarters Website Design and Development
Headquarters Hair & Beauty Salon, located in Parbold, is under new ownership. I was contracted by the new owner to create a new website to showcase their business. This project shows the process I have undertaken to design and develop the new website.
The finished website can be viewed at headquarters-parbold.co.uk
Previous Project Next Project
During the first meeting with the client, we discussed the companies new colour scheme, their new logo, new business/appointment cards, as well as the websites; font, layout for all devices, amount of pages and content for each page, and finally, the websites new domain name.
Once the companies colour scheme had been arranged, the client looked for inspiration for their new logo and sent me some ideas. From these ideas I created the following 6 logo designs.
Business/Appointment Card Design
The client also looked for some inspiration for their new business/appointment cards and sent me some ideas, along with the information needed on the cards. From these ideas I created a buisness/appointment card using their colour scheme, the main three colours being; grey, white, black and the secondary colour being baby pink.
The client wanted the business/appointment card to include their new logo, the company title, their address and number on the front, and an appointment section on the back in addition to showing the name of their Facebook page.
The following design was created using Vistaprint, keeping to the grey, white and black colour scheme, with a pale pink floral pattern background.
The client wanted the logo, title and navigation at the top of each page. For the mobile view, the logo is shown at the top, the title below this, followed by a vertical navigation. The tablet view extends the title next to the logo with a horizontal navigation bar below. The desktop view fully extends all of the header elements in a line next to each other at the top of each page.
Second Client Meeting
During the second client meeting, the 6 logo ideas were shown to the client, who chose idea 5 as the final logo design.
The client loved the buisness/appointment cards, and once the client had chosen the new logo, the new cards were printed.
Also during this meeting, the client gave me images and information for the site (price list, team infomation, contact details). She also told me that the new salon has a grey brick wall and whether that could be incorporated into the website. We decided to include this in the website as a background.
